Why We Built Tavendi

When we started Tavendi, it wasn't because the world needed another app. It was because we kept running into the same frustrating problem—again and again—and realized millions of people were dealing with it too.

Selling your stuff online should be a relatively simple, straightforward job. But it isn't.

The Problem

Whether you're moving, decluttering, or just trying to make some extra cash, listing items online is surprisingly time-consuming.

On top of all of this, communication with potential buyers can become a ruthless pandemonium of ghosting and never-ending questions, until finally reaching, amid the chaos, a successful conclusion that often feels not worth all of the effort.

What one would expect to take minutes in this day and age, ends up taking hours. For most people, this friction is enough to stop them from even starting. We felt that ourselves.

The Moment it Clicked

At some point, we stopped asking, "Why is this so annoying?" and started asking, "Why hasn't this been fixed?"

The tools available today weren't built for speed or simplicity. They were built platform-by-platform, not for people who just want to sell something quickly and move on. Simultaneously, recent history has seen the dynamic emergence of AI revolutionize and facilitate processes in a vast variety of other industries.

This intersection between problem and solution is where Tavendi was born.
